Night Shift

A sleep technologist works under the general supervision of the medical director or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and out of center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. A sleep technologist is able to perform the duties defined for a sleep technician and is able to provide oversight of other sleep center staff. The sleep technologist is credentialed in sleep technology.

How to Become a Sleep Technologist

One of the most rewarding careers in sleep medicine is that of a Registered Polysomnographic Technician, or RPSGT.

As a vital member of our medical staff, the RPSGT ensures quality data collection during sleep studies and makes sure our patients are safe and well taken care of.

Certification requires education, training and hands-on experience. We've partnered with Focus Sleep School to help prospective technicians get started!
